Ever have those days when you’re really not feeling creative?

You’re trying to get your social media sorted but the words aren’t flowing out quite right, every graphic looks flat and in the end you just feel defeated by it all.

What do you do then? I think you have a couple of options: give up and try again later or use templates.

Putting the work on hold can be a good option if you have it. Stop, do something else to clear your mind and pick it up later.

But if you want / need to get it done then using templates is a really good option IMHO.

And the best part is that you can have templates for both the words and the pictures.

Now, we’re working on the assumption that you’ve already planned out your socials so you have a general idea of what you’re going to be posting about.

Here’s what you can do:

Graphics templates

If you use Canva you will know that there are a multitude of templates available and I totally recommend identifying a few that complement your brand. Keep them in a separate folder and modify them when you need them.

Alternatively, when you’re feeling more creative, design a few templates yourself and use them.

Or, buy templates from someone else (this way you’re more likely to stand out as original)

Finding the words

Sometimes it’s tricky to get started with what you want to say. If you had a bank of prompts you can use to create your captions, wouldn’t that help enormously?

A couple of things you can do here:

Write your own – look back at your previous posts and copy well performing captions and repurpose.

Buy from others – if you don’t have time to create your own bank of captions then this is a really useful option. Done for you captions that you can copy and paste and bulk out with whatever is relevant to you can really help take the pressure off.

Do you think that any of these options would help you get creative when you’re not feeling creative?
