Is there anything you’ve found that you’re good at that you didn’t know about before you went into business?
For example, I started Alternative Admin because my background is in admin and I’m good at getting stuff done.
I’ve found out that I’m kinda, pretty good at Canva too. So I guess, I have a fairly decent talent for design.
I’m hoping this shows in my social media.
Identifying what you can do, what you would like to do, and what you are good at doing is important.
Say there was something you can do but don’t enjoy doing and you find someone who can do it AND enjoys doing it AND is good at it, what are you going to do?
A few suggestions (or things I have been thinking about anyway):
💡 Keep doing it, hone your skills. Include it in your services, market it, do it as much as possible. Become the ‘go-to’ person.
💡 Learn as much as you can about it. Do some training – did you know Canva has a Design School in it?
💡 Make sure your knowledge and expertise is passed on to others – create and deliver a course or some teaching materials, templates or handouts.
All of this has been milling around my head recently and I’m going to hold myself accountable.
I will be developing my expertise in the areas I excel at. Will you be doing the same?
