I recently took part in a 14 Day Social Media Challenge run by the wonderful Victoria Tretis.
The prompt on Day 2 was SHOW OFF YOUR LOGO.
My logo has gone through as much of an evolution as my business has and in its current form is pretty simple.
It’s literally my business name in my brand colours with a little text effect from Canva that I really like.
No point in overthinking things is there? And it’s useful considering that my business name / brand colours / services have all changed, and will be changing in the future.
But to make things a little more interesting I thought outside of the box in terms of how I was going to present my post.
And what I did lead to this comment:
“Slightly in awe (and a little envious) of the simplicity of your creativity. Chuck some my way will ya “
And me blushing .
This is what I did:
In Canva I created a new design as an Instagram post with 4 pages. I kept the background white and types PLACE LOGO HERE on the first page and added my logo to the others in different variations of my brand colours.
The front page was static and the other pages were animated with the STOMP animation (this is on the Pro version but there are cool animation effects on the Free version).
I adjusted the timings to make sure the whole thing didn’t go on too long and downloaded it as an MP4 video, then uploaded it to Instagram.
Super simple, super easy and super effective.
It made me wonder if something like this would be useful content for a YouTube video. What do you think?
If it’s something you would be interested in seeing let me know. Aaaand if there are any other Canva tips you would like to know, just reply with what they are and I’ll share a how-to email (or video).
